Have you ever wanted to test a web page to see just how long it would take to load for browsers using different types of connections (i.e. 56K dial-up, ISDN, T-1, etc.)? If so, you are in luck. We ran across this handy little web site while doing some online research. The company, Web Site Optimization, LLC, was founded by Andrew King who wrote the book Speed Up Your Site: Web Site Optimization.
The Fix
This tool (please be advised that you will be taken to another web site), will test web site speed by calculating page size, composition, and download time. The script calculates the size of individual elements and finds the total for each type of web page component.
